Well-maintained place, I enjoyed patient personnel.
The room itself was well-kept and tastefully decorated here with a super comfy bed, good view and Marriott duvets. There was a good restaurant for breakfast in the hotel...

Had a really really nice stay for 5 nights & would return here. I had a decent sized room in this immaculately clean hotel. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast, I tried casual dishes. Some of the staff members were superfriendly and pretty friendly. I visited lobby bar and tried savoury drinks.

Clean, convenient, good size room and bathroom
Reception staff wasn't overly friendly. I asked if there was a loblaws nearby ( I used to live in Toronto and there was one one Cumberland st. Just behind the Bay on Bloor). The receptionist didn't bother searching nor tried to answer. She just told me to speak with the conceirge. Not impressed.

Ideal Hotel for visiting downtown Toronto.Breakfast is not provided- which is a minus point- but there are two places just seconds away for anything you may need. There are some great bars and ethnic restaurants all within minutes from the Hotel; the best options being Thai and Korean. The Hotel is situated within yards of the Metro system which is cheap and fast to most points of interest in the city. One serious complaint we have ( which has nothing directly to do with the Hotel ) concerns the Taxi drivers that wait outside the Hotel.Anything other than a fare to the Airport (or further) is treated with contempt by the drivers. We requested a trip to Union Station (about 10 dollars ) and was harangued by the driver for most of the way.Needless to say, he didn't get a tip which prompted more abuse from him.We were that busy returning the abuse we forgot to obtain his identity; so, please remember should that happen to you.More complaints may prevent this treatment.

The staff were all friendly and efficient, which was unquestionably a plus. The hotel's location is comfy, right by a subway station.

Excellent room which was very clean. Hotel staff were pleasant to deal with. The location is exceptional: right on the metro line and walking distance to shopping and dining. Easy access from the DVP as well, which saves a lot of cross town traffic fighting getting through downtown.
I didn't like that the regular parking couldn't be reached without crossing through The Bay. $13+ for internet access in the room is outrageous. $1.50 for a local phone call is outrageous. I would rate this hotel higher without these offensive additional costs.

The bed and bed linens were top notch. I The bathroom was sparkling and amenities very nice too. The chief concierge helped us to the subway, went the "extra mile"
There was not much space to meet friends in the lobby.
